Responsibilities:

1. Nursing Division Leadership:
   • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing division, aligning nursing practices with the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
   • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement nursing strategies, policies, and programs that promote quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
   • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the nursing division.

2. Clinical Excellence and Practice Standards:

4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, allied health professionals, and other departments, to ensure effective coordination of care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
   • Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives to represent nursing interests and contribute to organizational decision-making.
   • Foster effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
5. Budgeting and Resource Management:
   • Develop and manage the nursing division budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources and alignment with organizational goals.
   • Monitor and analyze financial and operational performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and enhance efficiency.
   • Collaborate with the finance department to develop financial forecasts, cost-saving initiatives, and revenue enhancement strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Proven experience in nursing leadership positions, preferably as a Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President of Nursing, or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practice, standards, and regulations.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of healthcare quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and risk management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement evidence-based nursing practices and initiatives.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and resource management.
• Proficiency in using healthcare management systems and technology.
